چکیده
The present article studied gas sensor sensing characteristics based on surface-modified porous silicon (PS) by depositing the metal oxide semiconductor layer. PS layer was prepared through electrochemical etching of crystalline in an HF-based solution. DC magnetron sputtering technology used to obtain p-CuO surface p-PS. obtained material’s structural, morphological, and behavior were investigated using SEM, XRD, Raman spectra, current–voltage characteristics. For detection toluene chloroform vapors, a planar structure used. response value revealed that CuO/PS-based sensors have good sensitivity for vapors. mechanism is explained schematic energy band diagrams. Therefore, this approach helpful development simple, cost-effective detecting non-polar chemical analytes.

We investigated SiC-based hydrogen gas sensors with metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) structure for high temperature process monitoring and leak detection applications in fields such as the automotive, chemical and petroleum industries. In this work, a thin tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) layer was exploited with the purpose of sensitivity improvement, because tantalum oxide has good stability at high...
متن کاملEffect of the surface sensing area in the response of porous silicon organic vapor sensors
Abstract: In this work, the responses of porous silicon organic vapor sensors with different surface sensing area were investigated. Porous silicon layers with high specific surface area produced by electrochemical etching of p type 2-5 Ω-cm c-Si wafers were used to sense the presence of organic vapors (methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, xilene, acetone or water in this work). Different geometrica...
